Cardiff, capital of Wales, is a historic waterside city situated alongside the Bristol Channel and surrounded by the Vale of Glamorgan, Newport and Caerphilly. The city is steeped in history and architectural remains of the first Roman occupants in 55 AD can be seen at the site of Cardiff Castle. Across from Cardiff Bay are the beautiful Leckwith Woods and the seaside resort of Barry.

Cardiff was a small town until the 19th century when it became a major port to transport coal following the Industrial Revolution. Before WWI, the port, nicknamed Tiger Bay, exported more than 10 million tonnes of coal every year. It was proclaimed a city in 1905 and capital of Wales 50 years later in 1955. The city is now the main finance and business services centre in Wales. It is also a popular tourist destination that developed its hotel and restaurant sectors. Cardiff city centre is great for shopping with an impressive 1.4 million square feet of shopping space at St. David’s Centre.  Cardiff is a Cosmopolitan city.

Cardiff and its surroundings is a perfect place for our office at Cannon Hygiene. We can reach businesses of all types and deliver outstanding hygiene services to help them provide a better environment to their employees and clients.  Bristol is also within easy reach, just 38 miles away.
