Cannon Hygiene receives ‘Standard of Excellence’ Award

The 2010 web award winners have now been announced by the Web Marketing Association and the new Cannon Hygiene website has received ‘Standard of Excellence’ rated by the association as ‘the standard for which all websites should strive’ in the B2B category.

Three or more expert judges assume the role of target user and assess the website on seven different criteria including design, innovation, technology, interactivity, content, copywriting and ease of use.  The website with the highest score in a given category wins ‘Best Website’ and sites above industry average are awarded ‘Standard of Excellence’.

Commenting on the award Audrey Clark, Marketing  Manager said,  “I’m immensely proud of the new Cannon Hygiene website so it’s great to receive confirmation that we have produced a ‘best in class’ website.  The site is clean, fresh and full of interactive features to engage our customers and the results have been amazing.  We worked very closely with digital marketing specialists Fat Media who have exceeded the brief and I am delighted with the outcome.”

The new Cannon website showcases the wide range of products and services Cannon offers to businesses throughout the UK and the user can navigate through the site quickly with the help of the drop-down mega menus and internal search function.  The interactive features such as the product carousels, zoom and basket function simplify the enquiry process and increase product density.  Since launching the new site visitors have increased month on month and sales enquiries have doubled.
